These sizes are great in comparison to the average metal drinking straw. The cups work well, and they do work pretty well over facial hair. Highly recommend - I like to start with this before moving on to other more traditional warm ups. Amazing for cool down post gig.
Love the big kahoona for gentle warm up and using the 3.5mm for general phonation. The cup works well even on its own without a straw. Couldn’t get the combo to work with good air flow (using two 1.5mm to make a 3mm) 2.5mm and smaller was just too much resistance with or without water. Wish there were an option to build a set; the traditional 3mm silver straw on their own, with one or two other sizes.
These straws are amazing and I love them. They provide the right amount of resistance for my vocal folds, and it helps when there are different straw diameters and length to choose from. It is affordable, worth the investment, and very durable.
I’ve been wanting to essentially re-learn how to sing because my bad muscle memory was taking over and nothing was right or authentic to me. I started taking lessons with Kristin DiAmore and she told me to get the voice straw and the cups. The very first time I used it, I realized THIS is how my voice is supposed to sound and feel. I was so blown away. I’ve been using it almost everyday and I can see how quickly the voice straw has changed my technique for the better. I breathe completely different, my pitch is on point and I sound like a professional with so much ease, I really REALLY wish I had this product when I was first learning how to sing all those years ago. I feel so authentic now and I’m so incredibly grateful to the creator of this product. HIGHLY recommend 1000000/10.
